James Tavadze
James Tavadze currently serves as the Music Director at St. Patrick Catholic Parish, diocese of Grand Rapids. He plays piano and leads several choirs in the parish. One of his recent projects he is very committed to is a Men’s choir dedicated to learning ancient Georgian polyphony. He is also very passionate abut studying organ, as his professional goal is to become an organist – not a pianist who can play organ.
As a native of Tbilisi, James likes Georgian wine and high mountains. He loves poetry and values human relationships. In the past his hobby was learning languages and watching art movies, and his personal goal is to find time to go back to this.
James graduated with his Doctoral Degree in piano performance from MSU in 2022. He also holds MA in composition and music theory from Tbilisi State Conservatory.
